I am amazed you guys drove it from where it was rather than towing it onto a flatbed from the get go which is what the History channel would have done. You did it the right way.

I remember when I was about 12-14 years of age, I paid money to go into a park in Napier, New Zealand with my dad to view a Pink Cadillac same as this , I am now 72. It was advertised as Elvis car. Hundreds of people lined up to view the car. Barry Dawson, Napier, NZ

IT LOOKS TO BE A DIFFERENT CAR THAN THE ONES ELVIS BROUGHT ? HIS CAR HAD ONE HEAD LIGHT ON EACH SIDE, & A MUCH SMALLER VENT WINDOW IN THE BACK. ALSO NO SUN ROOF ? YOU CAN'T TRUST WIKIPEDIA MUCH, BUT IT DID SAY, MANY CARS WERE BROUGHT & COPIED AROUND THE WORLD, AND IT LOOKS LIKE THIS CAR MAY BE ONE OF THEM ? IT IS A GREAT FIND FOR A FATHER AND SON TO SPEND MORE TIME TOGETHER. IT WILL BE A FUN PROJECT TO REBUILD THE CAR & SOME OF THE TIME DAD LOST WHEN WORKING, WHILE HIS SON WAS GROWING UP !

What happened to the restoration of the Pink limo of Elvis?

I see a lot of comments saying that there is no way that this was ever Elvis's limo. Mostly on account that there was a bad tape job done when it was painted pink but it's the door plate tat is engraved with Elvis's signature that makes me believe that it's authentic. People may think that if it really was his limo that it'd have been stuck in a museum but Elvis loved cars and most likely had many different limo's. Say he got a newer model limo and sold this one, probably to someone who didn't want it pink and they had it repainted maybe back in the late 60's and it have been sold to some other big wig who didn't care if it was Elvis's old limo. Years later they sell it an the new owner or even the 3rd or th owner see's that it is an old Elvis car and repaints it again back to pink. That easily explains the shabby paint work. and like I said, you cannot disregard the engraved signature on the door plate
